Cloth-backed chromolithograph boards. NY: White, Stokes & Allen, 1885.
A lovely volume in a series of 10 little cookbooks by Thomas Murrey. Murrey was a professional caterer at the Astor House, and later owned a restaurant in Washington, D.C. A few of the 50 salads represented here are scollop salad, rabbit salad, sardine salad, pineapple salad, mayonnaise of eels, frog salad, orange salad, pigeon salad, cray-fish salad, hop salad, and much more. Much staining to covers, unfortunately, thus good only.
